Can Filter with 2 separate CAN buses. The CAN filter is intended to connect multiple CAN bus systems and only pass a selection of CAN messages between the two CAN bus systems in order to keep the CAN bus systems separated and to reduce the bus load. One of the applications is to connect the EMUS BMS system with 3rd party systems and only pass on the BMS messages required by other systems. The internal BMS communication then remains only present on the dedicated BMS CAN bus with the advantage of lower bus load and less chance of interference from external CAN devices. In addition, by means of multiple CAN Filters, a BMS system can be created with multiple BMS systems in a so-called master-slave configuration Application:

  • Master/Slave BMS systems consisting of multiple BMS G1 Control units
  • CAN filter for passing CAN messages to 3rd party CAN bus systems

Specifications:

  • Two individual (internal/external) CAN data interfaces.
  • Suitable for communication via CAN with EMUS G1 Control Unit and external devices
  • Suitable for 50, 125, 250, 500, 800 kbit/s and 1 Mbit/s CAN baud rates (default 250kbit/s)
  • Firmware update via CAN interface / EMUS G1 BMS controller and control panel
  • Supply voltage – 9.0 VDC to 64.0 VDC
  • Power supply reverse protection – Yes
  • Current consumption In active mode, supply voltage = 12VDC 24.6 mA / In active mode, supply voltage = 24VDC 13.0 mA
  • Isolation voltage – 450V
  • Transient/overvoltage protection between CAN H/CAN L and GND (and vice versa) -24 to 24 V
