The original Renault Kangoo has been put at the market as electric Kangoo with NiCad battery cells. The use of NiCad batteries has some drawbacks. First, they are much larger/heavier than Lithium batteries, they need a lot of maintenance (balance charging and water replenishment) and the lifespan is much shorter.
For this reason, the user of this Kangoo chose to replace the battery pack with a Lithium battery pack consisting of 50 pieces Sinopoly 200Ah battery cells (32 kwhr). The big advantage of this is that the lithium battery pack barely drops in voltage while driving and thus gets the Kangoo a lot better driving.
